Sankari Siva is a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Associate within our firm’s commercial litigation and insurance practice area.  Her sharp intellect, strategic mindset, and unwavering dedication to client success have established her as a trusted advisor for businesses and individuals navigating complex legal challenges.

Sankari graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.  She was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2021. 

Sankari’s approach to litigation is characterised by dynamism and a strong commercial awareness.  She understands the importance of not just achieving legal victories, but also finding solutions that align with her client’s long-term business objectives. 

While Sankari’s primary focus lies in commercial litigation and insurance matters, her experience extends well beyond these areas.  At the start of her career, she honed her legal acumen by representing individuals in matrimonial, criminal and bankruptcy proceedings.  This broad exposure has provided her with a well-rounded understanding of the legal landscape and a unique ability to handle complex cases with empathy and sensitivity.  This diverse background also allows her to identify creative solutions and develop comprehensive strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

Sankari has successfully represented clients in various complex cases.  Some examples that showcase her dedication to client success:

• Securing a favourable settlement for Subcontractor: Sankari assisted in successfully representing a sub-contractor’s claim against a prominent construction company for unpaid invoices on goods delivered.  The early settlement protected her client’s financial well-being by reducing significant legal costs that would have been incurred in protracted Court proceedings, thereby furthering her client’s long-term business objectives.   

• Sub-contractor negligence claim: Sankari was part of the team that skillfully defended and achieved a favourable settlement for a sub-contractor facing a negligence claim.  The alleged negligence resulted in damage to a neighbouring property’s goods, leading to a significant claim against the sub-contractor. 

Sankari is a member of the Law Society of Singapore and actively participates in continuing legal education programmes to maintain her knowledge and skills at the forefront of the legal field.

Outside of the legal industry, Sankari enjoys playing sports and has a particular love for rugby and the outdoors.
